چکیده
This study presents the results of a refined numerical investigation meant at understanding time-dependent cyclic behavior reinforced concrete (RC) bridge columns under chlorides-induced corrosion. The chloride ingress in cross-section column is simulated, taking into account effects temperature, humidity, aging, and corrosion-induced cover cracking. Once partial differential equations governing such multiphysics problem are solved through finite-element method, loss reinforcement steel bars calculated based on estimated corrosion current density. nonlinear response RC is, thus, determined by discretizing its cross-sections several unidirectional fibers. In particular, modeling corroded longitudinal rebars exploits novel proposal for estimation ultimate strain tension also accounts buckling compression. A parametric finally conducted real case to unfold role pattern mode time variation capacity ductility columns.

متن کاملDynamic and Static Behavior of Hollow-Core FRP-Concrete-Steel and Reinforced Concrete Bridge Columns under Vehicle Collision
This paper presents the difference in behavior between hollow-core fiber reinforced polymer-concrete-steel (HC-FCS) columns and conventional reinforced concrete (RC) columns under vehicle collision in terms of dynamic and static forces. The HC-FCS column consisted of an outer FRP tube, an inner steel tube, and a concrete shell sandwiched between the two tubes. The steel tube was hollow inside a...
